This page is specially written for those in the second half of their Bali trip.
YUKIIn this article, I’m sharing items that I, YUKI, personally bought and genuinely loved using.
These are beauty items, fashion pieces, and daily essentials I found in Bali and truly thought, “This was a great buy.”
From nicely scented soaps and deeply moisturizing oils to resort dresses that feel good and get compliments.
I hope this helps with souvenir shopping or staying stylish and feeling good during your trip.
If something catches your eye, I’d love for you to try it.
I’ll keep updating this article whenever I find another “so glad I bought this” item, so feel free to check back from time to time. (Updated June 25, 2025)

Fashion Items
1: Recycled Tire Flip-Flops (Canggu)

They’re made by an Indonesian brand called Indosole,
a sustainable flip-flop brand that uses recycled tires.
The recycled tires are used for the soles, making them non-slip and very durable, so they last a long time even though they’re a bit pricey.

They also pay close attention to the quality of the rubber, so they’re surprisingly comfortable to wear.

2: Surf Swimsuit (Kuta)

I forgot the exact price, but it was around 6,000–7,000 yen (about USD 40–50).
I bought this swimsuit at EntoWa Beach Store in Kuta.
The bottom is made of wetsuit material, so it keeps you warm.
It used to be called Eco Bitch, but the brand name changed in 2024.

It’s a brand created by a Japanese female surfer, and they offer not only swimsuits but also plenty of resort wear.

This is another swimsuit I bought specifically for surfing. The waistline detail makes the stomach area look nicely defined.

I personally love one-piece swimsuits, so I tend to buy those, but they do have bikinis as well.

EntoWa’s swimsuits have incredibly cute patterns.Even patterns that seem too bold or too simple often look just right once you try them on, so I really recommend fitting them.
3 _ Batik One-Piece Dress (Seminyak)

This dress is so comfortable and easy to wear that I ended up buying two in a row.
The ruffled detail around the bust gently softens the silhouette, so even without a bra, it doesn’t show sharp lines. Perfect for relaxed days when you just want to be comfortable.
There’s elastic at the top, so it stays securely in place. A really well-thought-out design.

The photo shows a black and pale yellow batik pattern, but there are many other colors and designs, so it’s worth checking in person.

4 _ Linen Setup (Denpasar)

This is a linen setup made with a fine white-and-black striped fabric.

It’s versatile enough to wear not only in Bali or Southeast Asia, but also back in Japan.
A matching set makes styling effortless. I often wear it to slightly dressy restaurants or luxury hotels.
Even if short pants feel a bit daring in Japan, Bali is a place where you can enjoy them freely. That’s part of the charm.
Definitely take a look at the shop if you’re nearby.

▼ Bring your own fabric and order custom-made

Denpasar has a fabric district with several tailors who can make custom clothing. One tailor I personally used is Qweck Fashion. The female owner is kind and very easy to talk to.

Since communication is in Indonesian only, going with a guide is recommended.

Beauty & Daily Essentials
1 _ Orange & Papaya Coconut Soap (Legian)

This soap is made by a brand called Bratwangi, affectionately known as “Masako Soap.”
There are nearly 20 different scents, but my favorite by far is this Orange & Papaya one.
The fresh orange scent is gentle, not overpowering, and feels so nice while washing.
Because it’s coconut-based, it moisturizes the skin well and doesn’t leave it feeling tight after use.

You can also buy it at the workshop-shop in Ubud, but it’s a bit out of the way. Buying it at Papaya Supermarket is much easier.

2 _ Saribing Cream (Denpasar)

Sari Bing Cream is a skincare cream born in Bali.
You can use it as the final moisturizing step of your skincare routine, or apply a thicker layer as a mask.
It’s mainly for the face, but after hearing it helps with spots and wrinkles, I also use it on my hands and neck.
Many people say they wish they had stocked up after trying just one.

Made from fermented herbs, the scent is like a very strong lemongrass at first, but you do get used to it.

3 _ Coconut Hair Oil (Available Everywhere)

Mustika Ratu is a long-established Indonesian cosmetic brand with a wide range of products.
Among them, this hair oil is especially good.

I use it as an out-bath treatment after shampooing and also before going into the ocean to protect my hair from salt and sun.

It comes in two sizes, and the smaller one is perfect to carry for travel or surfing.
It leaves your hair smooth and shiny, as if the cuticles have come back to life. Definitely worth trying.

4 _ ESQA Vegan Eyeliner (Kuta)

This eyeliner is from ESQA, an Indonesian vegan cosmetics brand.
ESQA holds both halal and vegan certifications and is known in Indonesia as a high-quality, safe vegan cosmetics brand.
The brush has just the right firmness, making it very easy to draw clean lines.

At first glance, it looks just like a regular eyeliner, but once I tried it, I was honestly surprised. The color payoff is great, and it’s so easy to draw with.
The eyeliner is waterproof and comes in two shades: black and chai (a deep brown).
If you’re buying it in Bali, Beachwalk is the most convenient place.

You can buy it at a cosmetics select shop inside Beachwalk Shopping Center in Kuta. They also carry brow mascaras and tinted lip products that you can try in person, so it’s definitely worth checking out.
5: Vaseline Body Lotion (available almost everywhere)

Did you know that Vaseline body lotion is very popular in Indonesia?
It looks like a cream, but the texture feels more like a fresh gel that absorbs quickly into the skin and feels amazing to use.

Pink is all about hydration, giving your skin a fresh and dewy glow.
Gold is more of a tone-up type, perfect if you’re concerned about uneven skin tone.
There’s also a navy package version designed for nighttime use, focusing on intensive care while you sleep.

Personally, I prefer the scent of the gold one.
70 times the brightening power of vitamin C

This Vaseline series contains beauty ingredients commonly used in facial skincare, such as niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.
In particular, Vaseline’s original brightening blend called “Gluta Glow,” which is written on the package, claims to deliver 70 times the brightening power of stabilized vitamin C.

Since sun exposure dries out the skin, this has become something I really rely on.
There’s also a UV-care type available.

This one is a body lotion with sun protection, designed for daytime use.SPF30 PA++ is more than enough for daytime outings.
I recommend starting with the smaller 100ml size to try it out first.
You can find it at many supermarkets, but Tiara Dewata in Denpasar had the widest selection.
