SAZON faces the street, but the restaurant itself sits up on a mezzanine level, so it's a great spot to catch the view at sunset. Chef's Kitchen That's the chef on the right (sorry his face got cut off!) Feels like stepping into a luxury hotel Seating built around an open kitchen where you can watch the chef at work. It makes for a genuinely lively, front-row dining experience. Dining Area & Bar Counter The bar counter sits right in the center This is the most vibrant of the three — the kind of space that lifts the whole mood. YUKI I would've loved to snap a few more interior shots, but the place filled up too fast. What to Order The real appeal here is working through authentic Spanish dishes tapas-style, a little bit at a time. Here's a rundown of the standout dishes we tried. YUKI It blew past every expectation I had. Iberico Ham 50g for IDR 280,000 (roughly US$18) Made from acorn-fed Iberico pigs, 50g runs IDR 280,000 It's not cheap, but each paper-thin slice practically melts in your mouth — this might be the only place in Bali serving Iberico ham at this level. Pinchos Pork pinchos, IDR 90,000 (roughly US$6) Pinchos usually bring to mind bite-sized skewered snacks, but at SAZON they lean closer to Indonesian satay. YUKI Pineapple and chimichurri turned out to be a surprisingly fresh combination. Along with pork, there's shrimp, beef, and eggplant on the menu. Iberico Ham Croquettes IDR 45,000 each (roughly US$3) Creamy croquettes filled with molten cream and Iberico ham. Mushroom Croquettes IDR 40,000 each (roughly US$2.5) Just as generous with the cream sauce, topped with mushroom sauce on top — rich, deep flavor that pairs beautifully with wine. Spanish Tortilla IDR 110,000 (roughly US$7) A compact tortilla, about 12cm across. Topped with a chorizo tomato sauce, with the potato-packed omelet coming out gorgeously soft inside. Genuinely delicious. Iberico Pork Paella Rp280,000 (approx. $16) Paella is SAZON's flagship dish, with three varieties on offer. This one comes with kale and an aioli sauce. YUKI The Iberico pork was tender and packed with juice. There's also a squid ink paella (IDR 340,000 ) and a seasonal vegetable and basil paella (IDR 220,000 — each one is just the right size to share between three or four people. Sangria Ice Cream IDR 50,000 (roughly US$3) And finally, dessert. There's Basque cheesecake on the menu too (IDR 140,000 ), but we went for something rarer — sangria ice cream. It comes with a surprise: olive oil jelly folded in, sweet and rich, adding real depth to the ice cream. Genuinely memorable.
