This page is specially written for those in the second half of their Bali trip.
When choosing Bali souvenirs, have you ever thought, "I want to buy a lot, but expensive ones are a bit too much..."?
In this article,I’ll share my handpicked $1 souvenirs that I,a local resident, actually buy over and over again.
Every item offers amazing value for money—perfect for bulk gift-buying!
I’ve also listed the shops where you can find them at the end of this post!
New items added! (September 2025)
[Ellips] Hair Mask

Speaking of Ellips, their famous hair oils in individual capsules are a classic Bali souvenir.

Since those capsules are sometimes available at 100-yen shops in Japan,
I highly recommend these hair masks (treatments) shown in the first photo, which aren't available in Japan!
One single-use mask is only 8,750 IDR (approx. $0.60)!
With so many varieties, why not grab 2 or 3as a lovely gift set?
YUKII personally alternate between this Ellipstreatment and the MAKARIZOone I'll mention later!
I’ll share the best places to buy them at the end of this post!
[Wafello] Butter Caramel Wafer

This is a large bag containing 10 individually wrapped packs, with 2 wafers in each.

At first glance, it looks like an Italian brand, but it's actually an Indonesian-made snack.
If you check the snack aisle at Bali convenience stores, you'll see a lot of wafers.Indonesians must really love them!
Wafello comes in various flavors like chocolate, but this Butter Caramel flavor is my absolute favorite!

These small, individually wrapped snacks are perfect as souvenirs for sharing with colleagues or classmates.
[KOPIKO] Coffee Candy

These coffee candies are very popular and have even appeared in Korean dramas.
One bag costs around 7,000–8,000 IDR (approx. $0.50), and each candy is individually wrapped.
They taste great and are loved by people of all ages. By the way, my mother and all my relatives love them! They are always a hit.

I always give them as a souvenir to my dentist in Japan, who told me they were so delicious they finished the whole bag at once! (lol)
On top of that, these candies are lightweight, compact, and won't get crushed or damaged in your suitcase, making them an excellent item to bring home.
[MAKARIZO] Hair Repair Mask

This is a hair repair mask from the brand "MAKARIZO HAIR ENERGY."
Each pack contains a generous 60ml. While it’s meant for a single scalp and hair "Creambath" session, I personally split it into two uses when using it just as a hair treatment.

A friend of mine uses a little at a time and said one pack lasted a whole week, so it really depends on your hair volume!

By the way, I usually buy two types: Royal Jelly and Olive Extract. Olive oil is so great for your hair!
After all, olive oil is so good for your hair, isn't it?
There’s also a Kiwi Extract version, but for my super dry hair, it didn't feel quite hydrating enough.

After applying the treatment, I put on the cap and let it steam for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing.
[NONI] Hair Coloring Shampoo

This is a hair coloring shampoo primarily made with NONI.
It’s a hidden gem that’s secretly popular for covering gray hair!
One sachet is for a single use. Just apply it to wet hair like a regular shampoo, massage it in, leave it for 5–10 minutes, and then rinse.
It is a natural color shampoo that is safe for your hair and scalp because it is Diamine-free, unlike most regular hair dyes.
By the way, Noni is known as the "King of Herbs" and is used in a wide variety of health and beauty products.
Known as the "Miracle Fruit" for over 2,000 years, Noni is packed with nutrients that are excellent for beauty and health.
Noni juice was trendy for a while, but it gained a reputation for having a terribly bitter and unpleasant taste, didn't it?
However, it contains over 100 types of vitamins and amino acids, offering various benefits such as boosting health, anti-aging, and skin rejuvenation.
[Kalpa] Coconut Choco Wafer

These cost around 10,000 IDR (approx. $0.65) per bag, with 10 wafers inside.
They are coated with fine coconut flakes, and as soon as you take a bite, the gentle sweetness and aroma of coconut spread through your mouth. Delicious!
The crispy texture of the wafer pairs perfectly with the coconut flakes. Since coconut snacks are rare in Japan, they make a very popular souvenir.
You can find them at most supermarkets and convenience stores, so they are very easy to buy.
↓ Detailed informationabout coconut wafers can be foundat the end of this article.
[merubali] Crispy Coconut Chips

These chocolate-flavored coconut chips are a popular healthy, gluten-free snack, priced at around 17,500 IDR per bag (approx. $1.15).

The best part is that they look high-end despite being so affordable!

Here is a look inside. Rather than a thick chocolate coating, they are dusted with plenty of cacao. This means they aren't sticky and won't melt like regular chocolate, making them safe to carry home in your suitcase.
They are a bit bulky since they are in a bag, but they're very lightweight. Since they are already bite-sized chips, you don't have to worry about them breaking or getting crushed, which I highly recommend!
Summary

Most Balinese snacks are individually wrapped, so they stay fresh and crunchy. This makes them perfect souvenirs for sharing with colleagues at work or friends at school.
For beauty-related souvenirs, it’s also a great idea to buy a few different types for your friends to try out.
Even though they only cost around $1, these items are high quality and have so much to offer!
