Breakfast Above the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
The day starts at Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, in that crisp, still-cool morning air.
This is a UNESCO World Heritage site — and the view earns every bit of that title.
Head to BATUKARU KOPI, a café perched right above the terraces.
Ease into the day with brunch and coffee here.

Comes with heart-shaped latte art, no less.
Sourdough bread is common enough, but sourdough pancakes? Rare find. Chewy, satisfying, seriously good.
YUKITurns out that thing in the middle was tomato jam! Apparently it changes day to day.
House-made tomato sauce loaded with mozzarella — sized just right for one person to finish solo.
There's also a hot sandwich on that same house sourdough, packed with two kinds of cheese — dip it in the tomato jam and it goes to another level.

A Quiet Moment Under a Sacred Ancient Tree
Between Jatiluwih and Taman Ayun, make a stop at Wisata Kayu Putih — a massive tree the local community treats as sacred ground.
There's no tourist infrastructure around it, either — just a quiet village and this one tree standing alone. That's exactly the appeal.
It's less "healing" and more just... settling. Being there quietly puts everything back in order.
YUKII went with a friend — we each paid IDR 20,000 in cash.
Restrooms are available on-site.
Drop IDR 2,000–5,000 (roughly USD 0.15–0.30) into the wooden box by the entrance after use.
It's a common setup at temples and public sites here — worth remembering.
There's a café a little further down the road.

Taman Ayun: Bali's Beautiful Water Temple
The final stop: Taman Ayun, often called the most beautiful garden temple on the island.
Rows of meru towers rise up against the greenery, and the whole place carries a real sense of sanctity.
You could start your West Bali day here instead — but the afternoon is when it really shines.
Fewer crowds, softer light. Better photos, and time to actually slow down.
If you've got time left, push on to Tanah Lot for sunset — or just wrap the day with an early dinner near your hotel.
