There are many supermarkets in Bali, but Grand Lucky is a large-scale supermarket with branches in Sanur, Denpasar, and Legian.

It offers a wide selection, so you can find everything from souvenirs to daily necessities in one place.

Perfect if you’re wondering what you can buy at a local supermarket or want to shop efficiently in one stop.

In this article, I’ll share my recommended items you can find at Grand Lucky.

Locations of Grand Lucky

Grand Lucky has three locations: Denpasar, Sanur, and Legian.

Denpasar and Sanur are popular with residents, while Legian is close to the airport and attracts many travelers.

Souvenirs you can find at Grand Lucky

(1) Granola

Granola with nuts, chocolate, and dried fruit is great for breakfast or a quick snack.

You’ll also find berry flavors and coconut varieties.

(2) Honey

BALI HONEY（350g） 121,900 IDR (approx. $8)

Honey is a well-known specialty of Bali and Indonesia.Cheaper options may vary in quality, so it’s best to choose carefully.

(3) Coffee

Bali coffee from the Kintamani area is especially well known.

YUKI

Drip coffee is lightweight and easy to give as a souvenir.

(4) Chocolate

Bali has several chocolate makers offering a wide variety of flavors.

バリ島で一番有名なのが、Jungle Bali（ジャングルバリ）というブランドのチョコレートです。

Jungle Bali is one of the most well-known brands.

The crunchy texture and balanced sweetness make it addictive.

(5) Organic coconut sugar

Not easy to find in Japan, so it makes a great souvenir.

Great for cooking, baking, or adding to coffee and tea.

Perfect for tea, with ginger and turmeric notes.

With coconut sugar, coconut oil, and cacao, you can easily make homemade chocolate.

(6) Natural sea salt from Bali

Sea salt made from seawater is one of Bali’s local specialties.In the Kusamba area, you can even see how the salt is traditionally made.

Great for cooking or as bath salt.

(7) Ellips hair care products

Ellips products were once sold in Japanese 100-yen shops, but they seem to be no longer available now

Single-use treatments not sold in Japan, perfect as small gifts.

Bonus: Gluten-free instant noodles

Gluten-free beet noodles: 9,700 IDR (approx. $0.65)

A rare gluten-free option made with beetroot, different from classic mie goreng.Surprisingly tasty with a nice texture.

Daily essentials you can find at Grand Lucky

(1) Mosquito repellent cream (for skin)

Mosquito repellent cream: 12,500 IDR (approx. $0.85)

Mosquito repellent is essential in Bali.Mosquitoes are especially active in the evening, after rain, or on humid days.Getting bitten while eating outside is no fun at all.

Having this on hand makes a big difference.

(2) Mosquito repellent spray (for rooms)

Even with the windows closed, mosquitoes somehow get inside in Bali.

No one wants to hear that buzzing sound while trying to sleep.

This spray is highly recommended.One spray lasts up to 12 hours.

The scent isn’t too strong, which is nice.The green tea scent is especially mild and pleasant.

(3) Red rice and black rice

Red rice (1kg): 47,500 IDR (approx. $3.20) Black rice: 61,500 IDR (approx. $4.10)

The Jatiluwih area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for red and black rice.It’s worth trying during your stay.

Mix about 10–20% with white rice for a delicious blend.

I cook rice in a Le Creuset pot without soaking beforehand.

(4) Singaraja beer

There are many beer brands in Bali, butSingaraja beer has a clean, slightly dry finish that I really like.

If you like beer, definitely give it a try.

There are many options, so tasting different ones is fun too.

(5) Mushroom dashi powder

Having dashi makes home cooking much easier when living abroad.This mushroom dashi is surprisingly good and very versatile.It works well for both Japanese and Western dishes.

(6) Cinnamon cookies

Cinnamon cookies: 18,900 IDR (approx. $1.30)

After trying many local snacks, this is one I keep buying again.They’re slightly crunchy with a simple cinnamon flavor.

Coconut cookies: 20,500 IDR (approx. $1.40)

こちらは、ココナッツ風味のクッキーで、シナモンクッキーに比べて、サクサクとした食感のクッキーです。

Bonus！

Japanese products are expensive (sadly)

A tube of wasabi costs nearly 60,000 IDR (approx. $4)!I actually did a double take.
