YUKIEven as a Bali resident, I often find myself wondering about the best way to get from the airport to my destination.
This time, I used the Klook app—a platform for booking airport transfers, tours, and more—and it was incredibly convenient. Here’s my experience.

What is the Klook App?
Klook is a travel app offering services not only in Bali but in popular destinations all around the world.
YUKIThis time I used it for a transfer from Denpasar Airport (Ngurah Rai International), but Klook also offers optional tours and car charters.
Here are the key highlights of why I’m glad I booked my airport transfer through Klook:

YUKIMany people worry about whether they can find their driver in a crowded airport, especially when meeting for the first time.One of the best things about Klook was that this stress was practically non-existent.
Now, let’s walk through the flow from booking to boarding with Klook!
Booking Airport Transfers on Klook
First, open the app and tap "Transport." You’ll see various categories like trains and car rentals—select "Airport Transfer."
Next, you’ll see options for "Airport Pickup" and "Airport Drop-off."Since we are traveling from the airport to our accommodation, select "Airport Pickup."

YUKISeveral companies will appear. Since their star ratings were mostly similar, I chose the one with the highest number of users.
Check how long the driver will wait after your flight lands
Once you’ve selected a company, be sure to check the "Vehicle Size," "Policy," and "Baggage Allowance" before proceeding to payment.
Pay close attention to the cancellation fees and the free waiting time at the airport.
YUKIUnfortunately, my flight was delayed by 2 hours due to engine trouble. > < However, I was so relieved that the driver waited for me free of charge! Also, since drivers often contact you via SMS, make sure to enter your phone number correctly.
Klook's airport transfers require pre-payment.
YUKII completed my payment via credit card.
After paying, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Be sure to double-check that the [Flight Number] you entered is correct.
As of May 2025, the transfer fee from Denpasar Airport to Kerobokan was approximately 1,500 JPY (approx. $10).
Klook will send an email with details about the vehicle and the driver who will meet you at the airport.
Click the "View Driver Details" button to see the car model, license plate number, and driver’s contact information.
YUKIThe specific meeting point at the Bali airport is also clearly stated, so make sure to check the email!
What is the flow on the day of the transfer?
After arriving at the airport, collecting your luggage, and passing through customs, you'll walk through an area with currency exchange booths and SIM card vendors.
Immediately after that, you will see the Klook counter.The "KLOOK" sign is quite prominent and very easy to spot.
YUKIPresent your booking confirmation email at this counter and wait for your driver to arrive.
Extra Tips & Helpful Info
Inside the facility, there’s a café counter, a kids' play area, and even a smoking room.
You can take a breather with a coffee at the Klook counter café before heading to your transfer vehicle.
After meeting your driver, they will guide you to the parking area where the car is waiting.
- Do I need to tip after the ride?

It’s not mandatory, but I always give a little something as a token of appreciation. A good rule of thumb is about 20% of the fare.
