Getting to KU DE TA
It sits right by Petitenget Beach in Seminyak.

KU DE TA was Bali's very first beach club, and it's still going strong. It's about a 40-50 minute drive from the airport.

Here's the main entrance. You can drive straight through the gate right up to the front door.

A lot of beach clubs make you walk through several gates after parking, but here the parking's right by the entrance — really convenient.
The Vibe at KU DE TA
This beach club has a luxurious, grown-up feel to it.

Walk through the entrance and past the bar, and a sweeping view opens up — tall palm trees, the ocean, and endless sky.

Here's the club as seen from the ocean side.

It had just stopped raining when we visited, so the umbrellas weren't out yet, but normally there's a whole row of bright red parasols!

Breakfast is served here in the restaurant, or outside on the terrace across the way.
The area around Petitenget Beach, where KU DE TA sits, is known as a spiritual power spot.

KU DE TA opened about 20 years ago. In a place like Bali, where venues come and go quickly, staying this popular for so long is a real achievement. Nearby, you'll also find award-winning Potato Head, the classic Legian hotel, and the Oberoi — all long-standing luxury spots. Locals say it's because the energy of this land is exceptional.
Breakfast at KU DE TA
The prices are surprisingly reasonable for a beach club.

Breakfast runs from 8am to noon.
There's plenty on the menu, from pancakes to eggs benedict, but our top pick is the Adult Set Breakfast with the KU DE TA Big Breakfast, at 200,000 IDR.

À la carte items like pancakes runaround $7-10 USD.

It's the kind of hearty American-style breakfast you'd expect at a hotel.
Eggs, bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, hash browns, and bread.
Plus a fruit juice and a fresh fruit platter.
Pick your favorite juice flavor.

The fruit platter comes with six different kinds.

Coffee or tea is included too.
It's a serious amount of food for breakfast! But treating it as a leisurely brunch by the ocean is exactly the kind of indulgence Bali does best.
Quick recap:
Adult Set Breakfast — 200,000 IDR includes:
KU DE TA Big Breakfast (eggs, three vegetable sides, beans, bread)
100% fresh-squeezed fruit juice
A six-fruit platter
Coffee or tea

For a hotel-level luxury setting like this, the atmosphere and food quality make it excellent value.

After Breakfast: A Stroll on Seminyak Beach
Another perk of KU DE TA: the beach is just steps away.

You could take a dip in the pool after breakfast, but we'd also recommend a walk along Petitenget Beach.

With your back to the sea, head right for four or five minutes and you'll reach the beach.
