Finding COSTA

About a 40-minute drive from the airport, COSTA sits right across from Pantai Cemara beach in Sanur.

Out front, there's a beach path and the ocean beyond it — a steady stream of strollers keeping the mood relaxed.

The entrance sits right along that path.

The floor is literally sand — so you could walk straight in barefoot from a beach day and no one would blink.

Inside: Wide Open, Totally Relaxed

Fully open-air. The kind of space that just feels good to sit in.

Rainy season might get a little dicey — but the resort mood here is off the charts. Clean lines, understated, effortlessly stylish.

The sofa seating is perfect for groups.

Bougainvillea in full color against crisp white interiors — it's a photo trap in the best way.

Down on the sand, bean-bag seating faces the water — ideal if you want to just sit and watch the sea.

Several solo female travelers were there too, wine in hand, taking it slow.

Honestly, it made for a beautiful scene.

What to Order

We went heavy on seafood starters — octopus carpaccio, scallops — and honestly heavier on wine (guilty).

I showed up after sunset that day, and before I knew it, the sky had gone full pink.

We barely touched the food and made a quick exit.

But the pizza was seriously good — good enough that I'm going back just to photograph it properly.

We ordered the seafood pizza, and every local friend at the table agreed on one thing: that crust is something else entirely.

Chewy in the middle, crisp at the edge — exactly the balance you want.

By the time it arrived, we were eating in near-total darkness.
