YUKII recently escaped to the Jatiluwih area for a glamping getaway in Bali.
Glamping has become a top choice for travelers seeking a truly unique and memorable stay on the island.
It’s a modern way to travel that perfectly blends the raw beauty of nature with the refined comfort of a hotel.
Our featured spot, "Bara Mountain Cabin," is nestled at the base of Mount Batukaru, just moments away from the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih rice terraces.
The moment the sun begins to rise is breathtakingly beautiful, offering an emotional experience found nowhere else.
・Those seeking a one-of-a-kind accommodation experience in Bali.
・Nature lovers wanting to fully immerse themselves in the lush landscapes of Jatiluwih.
・Photographers looking to capture the perfect sunrise and iconic panoramic views.
・Travelers who prefer an authentic, nature-focused escape over a standard hotel stay.
\Car Charters: The smartest way to get there!/
Booking a car charter is highly recommended for reaching Bara Mountain. It’s the most efficient way to combine your stay with visits to nearby waterfalls and the world-famous rice terraces.
Location and Access to Bara Mountain Cabin

Bara Mountain Cabin is located in the Jatiluwih district, nestled further beyond Ubud and roughly a 2.5-hour drive from the airport.
Jatiluwih is a celebrated UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its breathtakingly beautiful rice terraces.
Mount Batukaru is a significant spiritual landmark often referred to as the "Navel of the Earth" or the "First Chakra"—a destination known for its intense and powerful energy.
A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Sophisticated Design

As of July 2025, this cozy retreat features four stylish two-person tents, one cabin-style building, and a shared space with a kitchen and wood deck.
The staff mentioned exciting plans for further expansion in the future.

Inside each tent, you’ll find two twin-size beds that offer flexible layouts—they can be joined for couples or separated with a side table for friends.
Extra beds are also available, allowing a single tent to comfortably accommodate up to three adults.

Each tent boasts an incredible mountain view, thanks to its elevated location overlooking the lush valley.

The shared kitchen space is so chic it looks like a film set, fully equipped with premium coffee makers and beautiful dinnerware.

Stays at Bara Mountain Cabin include a delightful breakfast, featuring your choice of an American breakfast with eggs and toast or traditional Indonesian Nasi Kuning, both served with fresh fruit.

For dinner, you can order a pre-arranged BBQ set (paid) or bring your own ingredients and enjoy a cookout using the provided grill.

a gourmet campfire meal prepared by my talented foodie friend.
On my visit, we brought our own supplies to enjoy grilled meats and a cozy hot pot together.

If you prefer a hassle-free experience, ordering the BBQ set allows you to enjoy camping without any preparation.
BQ sets start at 150,000 IDR (approx. $10) per person and include meat, vegetables, sauce, and local Jatiluwih rice, with prices varying based on your choice of protein.
Since Jatiluwih is famous for its rice, it's a wonderful way to savor the authentic local flavors!
A Truly Moving Experience: The Breathtaking Sunrise

While the stylish design and comfort of the tents were exceptional, the true highlight was witnessing the sun rise over the mountains.
Waking up early together to wait for the dawn on the wooden deck was a magical moment, filled with anticipation and a refreshing sense of peace.

The sunlight was so powerful; I felt completely recharged and energized.

We brought our own yoga mats for the stay.
Afterward, we enjoyed some yoga and meditation together. The mountain air was so incredibly crisp and pure that I felt like I could breathe deeper than ever before.
Discovering the True Charm of Bara Mountain

Another highlight: the staff prepares a cozy bonfire for you at night.
Gazing at the flickering flames brings a profound sense of happiness. t’s the perfect setting for lively conversation over BBQ, a warm fire, and a few drinks—truly the ultimate way to spend your time.
One major standout was how exceptionally clean and comfortable the restrooms were.

The cabin rooms, distinct from the tents, even feature these beautiful, stylish bathtubs.
The semi-outdoor restrooms are private, spotless, and incredibly refreshing.
I hope you enjoyed this guide! Combining a glamping escape in Bali with a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-do.
