About 50 minutes from the airport, Umalas feels like an upscale residential area full of villas, cafés, and restaurants. DUA Umalas is open morning to night, with lunchtime as the busiest stretch. A favorite among local residents. Clean, Stylish, and Made for Lingering It's technically a warung, but with a café-like polish that makes it easy to settle in and stay a while. Indoor table seating Choose indoor tables or the semi-open terrace — both airy and open. Semi-open terrace seating Works well solo, with friends, as a couple, or with family. YUKI I love the relaxed vibe — customers of all ages come here. Nasi Campur and Healthy Eats The menu spans Indonesian, Western, and Thai dishes. You'll find à la carte items like burgers and pasta, but the real draw is the nasi campur-style setup — pick your own sides from the display case. Just point to what you want, and staff plate it up on a big round dish. Pay at the end. Here's what I (Yuki) ordered one day — I skipped the rice since I wanted quinoa instead. Rice plus three usually fills me up. Perfect when you're craving fresh veggies. YUKI Indonesian food rarely has raw veggies, so places with salads like this are a lifesaver! My friend picked these four dishes, plus bread. Café Bites and Sweets, Too Fluffy Hotcake — 69,000 IDR YUKI Out of every pancake I've tried across Bali, this one's my favorite. Fluffy pancakes with whipped cream, berry sauce, and maple syrup on the side — 69,000 IDR Blueberries, tangy-sweet strawberries, and whipped cream — pure bliss. The batter has real substance — fluffy but hearty, more like a hotcake. Chia Seed Pudding — 34,000 IDR For something lighter after a meal, try the chia seed and coconut milk pudding — 34,000 IDR Topped with mango and dragon fruit, with a subtle coconut sweetness — light and refreshing. Croissant — from 18,000 IDR There's also a homemade bakery on-site — grab bread to go, or eat in. YUKI Whenever I have lunch here, I always grab bread for breakfast on the way out. And it's cheaper than other bakeries in the area — a nice bonus. The Takeaway Pretty tempting, right?
