Location & How to Get There

DIJON is in Kuta, about a 20-minute drive from the airport.

It's just off Sunset Road, Bali's main thoroughfare, and easy to reach by car or motorbike.

Parking is available for both.

You can browse the whole store in about five minutes, but the carefully curated selection sets it apart from your average supermarket.

3 DIJON Deli Picks for Longer Stays

There are always 4–5 varieties in stock.

Of everything DIJON has to offer, the hummus is my top pick.

What is hummus?

It's a chickpea-based dip from the Middle East, great spread on sandwiches or paired with veggie sticks and corn chips.

Among the classic and sun-dried tomato varieties, my favorite is the spicy hummus at 40,000 IDR (~$2.40).

Right next to it, the sun-dried tomato and dukkah (a nutty Middle Eastern spice blend) hummus is also delicious — a great match for wine.

Keep this creamy hummus refrigerated.

No hummus is complete without tortilla chips — 39,000 IDR (~$2.30) for unseasoned, 100% corn flour chips that are naturally gluten-free.

Dip away — it makes for the perfect snack.

These coconut-flake macaroons make a great souvenir. Unlike the cream-filled Japanese version, these are more like a soft cookie.

Packed with coconut flakes, they're flour-free and naturally gluten-free.

Loaded with chocolate chips, yet not overly sweet.

Dried Chickpeas, 36,000 IDR (~$2.20) for 500g

This one's for anyone who cooks — dried chickpeas.

Chickpeas are incredibly versatile — swap them in for meat in a curry, boil them for salads, or just eat them plain with a bit of salt.

Nice touch: the bag has a resealable zip.

Personally, I skip the overnight soak for dried chickpeas — I just boil them in my Le Creuset for 40–50 minutes, turn off the heat, and let them sit until cool. Comes out perfect every time!

Bonus Info

I always keep a vegetable-packed minestrone in the freezer. On days I don't feel like cooking, or when I'm coming down with something, this soup never fails to warm me up.

Turmeric supplements are a handy alternative to jamu — easy to take anytime, and I usually pop one before drinking. They also make a great souvenir.
