Getting to I Am Vegan Babe
Its central Canggu location makes it easy to stop by between shopping and sightseeing.

I Am Vegan Babe sits in Batu Bolong, right in the heart of Canggu, about an hour from the airport.
Batu Bolong Beach is less than a 5-minute drive away, or about a 15-minute walk..
The area is packed with stylish coffee shops, boutiques, and accessory stores, so grab lunch here, wander around, and wrap up the day with sunset at Batu Bolong Beach.
The Vibe
The space is bright and open, easy to visit solo, and comfortable enough to linger without feeling rushed.

It's a two-story building with an open, wall-free layout.
The second floor offers a panoramic view of the street, though it does get hot during the day—the ground floor tends to be a bit cooler.

Right at the entrance, you'll find a display of vegan cakes and breads—no eggs or dairy—and every single one looks delicious.
Fair warning: the slices are seriously generous—should've guessed.

What to Order
The portions are surprisingly filling for vegan food—gentle on your body, but satisfying for both stomach and soul.

Here's the café's signature and most popular item: their creamy smoothies.
The pink one is strawberry-based, while the purple one is made with blue spirulina and dragon fruit.
Both are blended with coconut yogurt, soy milk, and banana into a thick, creamy texture that feels genuinely good for you.
The purple one in particular leans heavily on banana flavor, since spirulina and dragon fruit are fairly mild on their own—it almost feels more like a dessert than a drink.

When I asked staff for a recommendation, this cheeseburger came up first. It looks like an ordinary burger, but the patty is entirely plant-based, made from beans and local Indonesian fruit—even the cheese is dairy-free.

I cut it in half for a closer look—still looks like a completely normal burger!
That said, it doesn't have that heavy, meaty richness—it's actually quite light. Loaded with Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, and tomato, it's substantial but easy to finish without feeling weighed down.
The flavor was honestly excellent!

A lunch-only item: the Falafel Salad, 80,000 IDR.
Falafel is a chickpea-based fritter, and this salad piles on leafy greens, beets, and quinoa—perfect for when you're craving more vegetables.
YUKIAfter too many days of Indonesian food, I always end up craving more veggies—this place fills that gap perfectly.

I'm a huge fan of wraps, so I make a point of ordering one wherever I go—and true to form for a vegan restaurant, this one swaps meat for tempeh.
Tempeh is a fermented food that originated in Indonesia, made by fermenting soybeans with a specific mold—sometimes called "Indonesia's natto."
tempeh uses a different mold that binds the soybeans into a firm, block-like form.
This wrap is packed with tempeh, beets, carrots, spinach, and onion, all tied together with a chickpea hummus and sesame dressing.
Why I Am Vegan Babe Stands Out
It's easy to see why this place is so popular—flavor is clearly the top priority here.

No wonder it's one of Bali's most popular vegan spots—it's not just about the photos, the food genuinely delivers.
The colorful, well-balanced use of vegetables deserves real credit.
The interior design is lovely too, right down to the restroom—the kind of place that makes you think, "I could just live here." The plating shows real attention to detail, and you can feel the owner's care in every dish.

Well worth adding to your list of great vegan spots to try.
