Location & Access

Nadhi Heritage is located in Denpasar, about 40 minutes from the airport.

The café sits on Jalan Gajah Mada, a street known for fabric shopping among those who sew their own clothes, and home to Badung Market, Bali's largest traditional market.

You'll find tailors specializing in kebaya, Bali's traditional dress, alongside shops selling batik and Indian cotton fabrics.

Badung Market is just a 3-minute walk from Nadhi Heritage, so it's easy to pair a market visit with your coffee stop.

The river beside the market seems to be a favorite photo spot for locals—plenty of people were snapping pictures there.

It's a completely different side of Bali than the resort scene—this really feels like Southeast Asia.

A Retro Interior Since 1972

The ground floor is a stationery shop. Walk through it, head up the stairs, and the café awaits on the second floor.

It has a gallery-like feel—compact from the outside, but the upstairs space feels surprisingly roomy.

Every corner is photogenic, honestly—it feels like a ready-made photo studio. The whole space has this beautifully cohesive charm that makes you want to snap photos everywhere.

Sitting by the window here, with those charming floor tiles in frame, would make for a gorgeous photo.

This spot is lovely too! I visited around lunchtime and it wasn't crowded at all—very comfortable.

Most of the seating is round tables with small chairs, but this sofa spot felt like the best seat in the house.

The Famous Coconut Coffee & Must-Try Mie Ayam

In Bali, instant coffee almost always comes with sugar already mixed in. At local spots, if you don't specify otherwise, you may well end up with a sweet cup.

And sure enough, everything here comes sweet too—I should've guessed.

Kopi Jadul, 18,000 IDR , looks like black coffee at first glance but actually comes with condensed milk—it reminded me of Vietnamese coffee.

The staff recommended Es Kopi Gula Aren, 25,000 IDR , the most, so I gave it a try.

This one is made with coconut sugar.

It wasn't overly sweet at all—more of a rich, coconut-like depth that made it really enjoyable.

I'm usually not a fan of sweet coffee, but this one's genuinely good—I'd definitely order it again.

For food, this is the dish to order.

It's a dry noodle dish topped with minced chicken. It's flavorful enough on its own, but if you want to switch things up, try adding the sambal or achar (pickled cucumber) shown in the photo.

As served, it's not spicy at all, so it's a great choice even if you're not into heat.

They also serve lighter options like French toast and kaya toast.

A Local Café Experience in Denpasar

Just a 3-minute walk from Badung Market, this retro coffee shop pairs perfectly with a market visit.

Note that the café is across the street from the market, so be careful crossing the road.
