With a wide variety of side dishes and a clean, inviting atmosphere, this is the perfect place to try Nasi Champur for the first time!
It's popular on Instagram and TikTok for being Instagram-worthy.

They feature many unique dishes you won't find elsewhere,
and even their soup bowls are super cute.

Here’s what I ordered!
- Chicken Katsu: Tastes just like a classic Japanese katsu.
- Bitter Melon Salad ... A light, refreshing salad-style dish with no heat
- Papaya Leaf Salad: It has a subtle, savory "dashi-like" flavor.
- Red Rice: Highly recommended as it pairs perfectly with Indonesian sides.

I always end up picking the "brown" dishes (the fried ones), haha!
Total: 45,000 IDR (approx. $3), including an unsweetened iced tea.
在住者に人気!【Warung Taman Bambu】

| Bussiness Hours | 9:00〜20:00 (Closed on Sunday) |
Located in the heart of Seminyak with excellent access! A café-style warung
It's popular among locals because it offers a wide variety of side dishes.

They also offer a huge variety of side dishes, which keeps people coming back!

Once again, my plate ended up looking quite "brown," but here is what I picked!
- Ayam Bakar: The big brown piece in front. It's juicy, grilled chicken thigh.
- Vegetable Omelet: Packed with green onions. I always order this because it pairs perfectly with sambal.
- Green Veggies & Bean Sprouts: A fresh, non-spicy salad.
- Tempe Goreng: Tempeh and peanuts caramelized in a sweet and spicy sauce.
- Red Rice: Highly recommended as it pairs perfectly with Indonesian sides.
A big plus: they offer two types of sambal!
Total: 45,000 IDR (approx. $3) including a fresh, sugar-free orange juice.
100% Authentic Local Experience! [Warung Hindu]

| Area | Kerobokan |
| Name | Warung Hindu (kesambi) |
| Map | Google Map |
| Bussiness Hours | 8:00〜16:00 |
A Balinese-style nasi campur restaurant that’s a huge hit with the locals!
It is located on the border between Krobokan and Denpasar.

It’s so popular that they’re often busy with massive catering orders for 30+ people during local ceremonies!

Just looking at the photos makes me crave it—there’s something irresistibly magnetic about their food.
The side dishes vary depending on the price range (15,000–25,000 rupiah,).

The interior is very "local"—simple and unpretentious.
I usually order mine "Bungkus" (to-go) and enjoy it at home.

My 20,000 IDR (approx. $1.30) Nasi Campur!
- Sate: Refreshing minced meat skewers.
- Green Bean Salad — Crisp green beans tossed with vibrant Balinese seasonings.
- Crispy Pork Bacon ... Crispy and delicious!
- Chicken Tossed with Bumbu (Balinese Spice Mix)
- Fried Peanuts: Adds a great crunch that pairs well with spicy rice.
- White Rice: Most traditional Balinese warungs typically serve only white rice.
I asked for a generous serving of Sambal Matah (raw lemongrass shallot sambal).

At most Balinese warungs, rather than choosing your own side dishes, you simply tell the staff the price and they’ll serve you a plate.
【Type 4】Healthy & Variety! [Warung KZU]

| Area | Kerobokan |
| Name | Warung KZU |
| Map | Google Map |
| Bussiness Hours | 10:00〜20:00 |
A warung run by a Japanese chef that’s popular among health-conscious expats!
It’s located in Kerobokan, right near "La Beaute," a salon famous for its amazing hair cream baths.
I highly recommend heading over for a hair cream bath right after your lunch!

Enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including vegetable-based sides, mild options, Indonesian specialties, Japanese favorites such as rolled omelets, and Italian classics like lasagna.
This is also a great choice if you don’t like spicy food, are tired of Indonesian cuisine, or want to eat plenty of healthy vegetables.

The house specialty: Chicken Schnitzel! A must-try dish.
The chicken breast is pan-fried with very little oil rather than deep-fried,
so it’s not greasy at all.

and pairs surprisingly well with sambal.
The inside is creamy and pairs perfectly with the sambal.
Although the dishes I mentioned aren't technically Indonesian, they taste absolutely amazing when paired with sambal and red rice!
- Chicken Schnitzel: The #1 most popular dish. Light and crispy.
- Spinach Cream Croquette: Even delicious when cold!
- Green Beans with Sesame Dressing: A refreshing, Japanese-style side.
- Red rice
Total: 70,000 IDR (approx. $4.60) including an unsweetened iced tea.
Summary
When choosing a Nasi Campur restaurant, you’ll have a more satisfying experience if you base your decision on the kind of atmosphere you’d like to dine in.
Each of these four shops is a place I’ve personally visited and can wholeheartedly recommend.
If any of these caught your eye, be sure to add them to your Bali itinerary!
